Documents and official correspondence by the National Convention and its committees and representatives, including decrees, minutes of meetings, passports, and letters to other government officials. Included are correspondence between the Convention's Committee of Public Safety and local administrators, minutes of meetings of the Convention and of its various committees, and orders for the arrest of people under suspicion or for the release of prisoners. Also included are decrees and official correspondence of the Convention's representatives on mission to various localities or armies of France, including a bound vol. of decrees and requisitions by representatives in the south of France from Nov. 1793-Feb. 1794, dealing especially with affairs in Marseille, Lyon, and Avignon. Topics discussed include responses to the petitions of individuals for clemency or charity, military matters such as equipage, supplies, and personnel, and internal politics and administrative restructuring within the Convention.
